Churchill Downs oddsmaker Mike Battaglia opened Shagaf as a 20/1 choice on the morning line. After Friday’s betting he’s a whopping 74/1 longshot making him the highest priced horse in the twenty horse field. A total of $862,829 had been wagered into the Kentucky Derby ‘Win’ pool as of 7:30 PM Eastern.
